Hearing Loss and How Hearing Aids Amplify Sound
Ear hearing aids, electronic devices that amplify some sounds. Hearing aids have three basic parts: a microphone, an amplifier, and a speaker. However, there are many more who appear smart, because they are well educated, but most are still what is considered financially insecure.

Berkeley’s Favorite Dog Treat Recipe
The following little ginger cookie can be cut into shapes and given as a gift to dog-owning friends and family. Don’t be surprised if you get lots of requests for more once you start. The cookies are good for soothing upset tummies or warding off car sickness.
Shaped Ginger Doggie Digestive Cookies (Berkeley’s Favorite Dog Treat Recipe)
1/2 cup powdered milk
1 egg, well beaten
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp garlic salt, 1 tablespoon grated ginger, ¼ cup fresh chopped parsley
1 1/2 tsp brown sugar
1/2 cup water
6 tablespoons gravy
Baby food meat
Mix all ingredients well. Roll out on a floured board about 1/2″ thick. Cut out cookie shapes with floured cookie cutters. Bake the cookies at 350F for 25-30 minutes. Cool, leaving them in the oven to dry. Cookies should be hard. Store the cookies in an airtight container.

If you’re hosting a bridal shower, especially in Sugar Land TX, there are literally hundreds of games to choose from. Some are silly, some are serious, but all are about having some fun with the bride before she’s married. Here’s a sampling.
One fun game that we do here in Sugarland, that really puts the bride on the spot with regard to her knowledge of her husband-to-be’s life. Prior to the party, have someone ask the groom a series of questions, such as where he was born, what his favorite food is, things like that. Then at the bridal shower, put the bride on the spot by asking her the answers to the questions. See how many she can get right (hopefully at least half!). If she does well, give the girl some sugar cookies as a reward!
One all-time favorite game is toilet paper wedding dresses. This game involves separating the guests into teams consisting of at least 2 people and no more than 5. Give each team a roll or toilet paper (or 2) and have them fashion a wedding dress out of the toilet paper. One of the team members will volunteer as the model. Provide them with a “dress up trunk” filled with jewelry and shoes. They must make the dress out of the toilet paper, but they can accessorize with the provided jewelry, shoes, gloves and hats. Place a time limit on this (5 minutes is adequate) and have the bride vote on the best dress. Be sure to provide prizes for the winning team!
Another fun game that’s always a hit is making the bride get dressed while blindfolded. Tell the bride she is to pretend she’s on her honeymoon and the power has gone off. She must prepare for her wedding night in complete darkness. Provide her with a suitcase filled with items and then blindfold her. She must get dressed in a certain period of time (2 minutes is adequate) while completely blindfolded and with no help from the guests. Include some silly items like oversized sunglasses, garden gloves or a flannel nightgown just to make it fun. This is a photo opportunity, so be sure someone is waiting to record the end result!

Speed Training Exercises
You require speed training not just to be a good athlete but also for other sporting activities. It is a good idea to warm up first and do some long stretches before starting on exercises. You might want to commence your exercise regimen with weights, especially if you are practicing for a swimming championship. You could lie down over a bench and lift the weights and lower them along the sides of your shoulders. Or you could start with short-run stretches. Make sure that your foot moves backwards first and your arms are relaxed without moving too far away from your body. Do not, at any cost, run on your toes. You should run regularly in order to build up speed before learning to do distances. Also try speed training exercises like Olympic lifts, deadlifts, and squats that will help accelerate your speed. Another great way of improving your speed is to try out Plyometrics so that your muscles learn to contract within the shortest possible time. These exercises include drop jumping, bounding and hurdling. The latter are especially recommended to athletes who should try tuck jumps, standing hops, bounds, and bunny hops to improve their elasticity.Speed training exercises should also include working on treadmills. Treadmills give you the right pace and correct lengths as far as repeats are concerned. For agility-enhancement you could try the agility ladder which will teach you to move forward, backwards and sideways in the quickest time possible.Integral to speed training is the building of strength, especially those of your muscles in the legs, upper body, and abdomen. Try two-footed squat thrusts and walking with a forward lunge to improve your leg muscles. For your upper body you could try arm press-ups placing your palms over the floor.
